A juice review today (it’s been a while for an E-liquid review) and this is Pink Custard by Dolce Desserts. This is a range created and sold by the popular UK vape vendor; UK Ecig Store. These guys have been in the game since 2012 and are very well known for their online vape store and walk-in shops around London. You’ll find all the latest and greatest vape gear and accessories on their website, along with a huge range of E-liquids including their own branded flavours, such as this Dolce Desserts flavour.
I am a sucker for Strawberry Dessert flavours so had to pick up this Pink Custard. I recently short-reviewed another Strawberry flavour from Dolce Desserts over on our Instagram page, which was Strawberry Macaroon and that was an amazing juice, which I will definitely get again once that bottle is gone. So let’s check out this one!
The Packaging
Pink Custard by Dolce Desserts comes in a clear 60ml Chubby Gorilla shortfill clear bottle. Inside is 50ml of E-liquid leaving a 10ml space for a Nicotine shot if needed. The bottle is wrapped in a pink label with the printed Dolce Desserts branding and flavour title. The background has nice looking graphics of Strawberries and Custard.
On the right of the label is a printed panel explaining how to add a Nic shot, below the contact info of Liq Labs, where the E-liquid was produced. Over on the far left of the label has another panel that includes printed ingredients, warnings, best before date and bar-code.
The Dolce Desserts range has very sleek and stylish labelling, giving the impression of a premium E-liquid.
The E-liquid
I’m accepting that generally, most people know what a ‘Pink Custard’ is? It is simply a Strawberry flavoured Custard. It was popular in the UK as part of School Dinners back in the day and can still be found on shelves in supermarkets.
The E-liquid is explained on the UK Ecig Store website as; “Pink Custard by Dolce Desserts is a delicate mix of sweet Strawberries covered with rich silky Custard. Dolce Desserts make an excellent range of dessert flavours that are perfect for those who love a sweet flavourful vape juice”.
The base ratio of Pink Custard is 70VG/30PG and if you are adding a nic shot, its best (being a Custard flavour) to leave it for a week or so for a good steep, to get the full benefit of the flavour profile.
On a smell test, its a mix of a ripe Strawberry scent alongside a very creamy Custard.
Device used: Wotofo Mdura Pro and Wotofo SRPNT RDA with 0.4 Clapton build.
The Flavour
On the vape, Pink Custard is the text-book Strawberry Custard flavour. For me, there is no leader between the two flavours on both inhale and exhale. Throughout, its an absolutly spot on mix between the two. The Strawberry is a ripe and juicy Strawberry taste which isn’t the candy-type Strawberry and more authentic. Meanwhile the Custard sitting nicely next to it, is a creamy Custard and not the usual over-vanilla’rised rich version concentrate used.
Early on when I started vaping, I had a bottle of a well known vape brand’s version of Strawberry Custard which was very popular. Although that was nice, it seemed really over-sweetened and the Strawberry stuck out more over the top of the Custard flavour. This Pink Custard by Dolce Desserts is hugely better! I don’t know if its cause I more prefer a slightly milder flavour vape, but the smoothness of this is something else. It’s a perfect all day vape due to that smoothness and the flavour blend is bang-on!
This flavour is definitely something I will continue to buy once this bottle has ran out and if you like Strawberries, Custards or Dessert vapes, you need to try this and am sure you will not be disappointed. I really enjoyed the Strawberry Macaroon by Dolce Desserts which I rated 9/10 over on the Instagram page, this Pink Custard really is as good.
My score: 9/10 – Just a perfect Strawberry Custard, an easy all day vape that you just keep going back to.
